Grain fed boom set to continue
10 Mar 2006

The future of beef production is in a combination of pasture and grain fed finishing says the head of Meat and Livestock Australia. Forty per cent of Australian beef is now grain fed with 80 per cent of that fed for less than 130 days. The boom in lot-feeding is set to continue as long as producers can access grain.
