Demand for fertiliser falls
2 May 2006

Fertiliser supplier Incitec Pivot said fertiliser sales over spring and summer were 10 per cent lower than the year before. The company said strong pasture growth in spring, high fertiliser prices and a poor wool outlook reduced demand. Summer crop sales were also flat. The company expects the promising winter crop season will revive demand even though fertiliser prices remain high.
