Aussie cattle to go to Russia
15 Jun 2006

Russia will import 3,500 head of Australian dairy and beef cattle under a deal worth $8.8 million signed yesterday by Elders. It is the first ever large shipment of foreign cattle into Russia. Elders said it hoped to sell up to 50,000 head per year to Russia. The cattle will come from NSW, Victoria, Southern Queensland and WA and will be shipped from Portland, Victoria and Fremantle, WA.
