Queensland cattle empire to change hands
27 Jul 2006

Queensland cattle baron Peter Hughes is rumoured to be buying big beef producer Colonial Agricultural Company. Colonial owns eight big pastoral properties in Queensland, NSW and the NT and is the property of wholesale investment fund Colonial Agricultural Fund. The deal would be the biggest rural transaction for a number of years.
