Most weeds resistant to herbicides 24 Aug 2006
Research cooperative Australian Weed Management said 18 of the country's 20 major agricultural weeds were now resistant to herbicides. The researchers said the first herbicide-resistant weed was documented in 1982 and the problem had been building over the past 24 years. All of Australia's major crops, including wheat, barley, canola and others grown for animal feed, were affected.
