Meat prices rise as stock supply declines

Meat and Livestock Australia said there had been a 70 per cent increase in cattle yardings in SA in the past five weeks, and said that as supplies tighten meat prices will rise by early next year. MLA said price rises of between 30 and 50 per cent could not be ruled out.
