Livestock prices lower in WA
17 Nov 2006

The Department of Agriculture said livestock prices in Western Australia lagged prices in the eastern States. Since 2004, prices for WA trade steers have been 14 per cent lower, on average, than national prices. Since 2003, the export lamb producers have received prices 16 per cent lower than the national average. An exception is for porkers, where prices are in line with the national average.
