Australian Meat Industry Super Trust goes public
13 Dec 2006

The Australian Meat Industry Super Trust (AMIST) has gone public and will open its doors in early 2007. Paul Cahill, fund secretary, said AMIST had received interest from potential members wanting to join the fund but who were previously unable to do so, and expects people will be queuing up to join. AMIST manages $635 million on behalf of its 60,000 members. SelectSuper ranked its default option in the top 10 for three year returns and its diversified growth option was ranked fourth, while its diverse balanced option came second for three year returns.
