Queensland signs deal to train meat staff
7 Feb 2007

Under an agreement between the state and federal governments, meat employers in Queensland will need to train more Australian staff if they want to sponsor migrant staff on temporary visas. It has taken nine months to come to this agreement. The NSW government has refused to sign the deal and talks remain deadlocked in Victoria and South Australia.
