Triple treat for farm cafe
7 Feb 2007

The first cow to calve for the season at Caldermeade Farm last week gave birth to triplets. South Gippsland demonstration farm owner Sarah Elliot said that in the lead up to the birth the cow had shown signs of pregnancy toxaemia, a condition often associated with twins, but she was surprised by the triplets. The cow, with her heifer and two bull calves have been put into a pen next to the Caldermeade Farm Cafe, where they have received lots of attention from visitors.
