Confidence springs back with autumn rain
28 Mar 2007

Recent rain and the possibility of a return to normal seasonal conditions have caused confidence in rural Australia to rise. Rabobank says the rebound is the largest jump in rural confidence in the seven year history of its quarterly rural confidence surveys. “Favourable weather forecasts along with some promising summer rainfall in parts of the eastern states are providing encouraging signs for farmers there will be a break in the drought in 2007,” Rabobank's Rural Australia general manager Peter Knoblanche said.
