Cattlemen face eviction 16 Apr 2007
For more than 150 years, cattle producers have grazed stock in Barmah State Forest on a Murray River flood plain between Echuca and Tocumwal in Victoria’s north. However, due to the drought, the Bracks Government has asked that the cattle be removed a month earlier than usual and is considering whether they will be let back into the forest next year.
