Farmers tell Turnbull he's on his own
4 May 2007

Water Resources Minister Malcolm Turnbull has lost the support of the Victorian Farmers Federation. Mr Turnbull needs the VFF onside to convince Premier Steve Bracks to sign the Commonwealth's $10 billion takeover of the Murray-Darling system. The VFF accused Mr Turnbull of cancelling a vital meeting yesterday and questioned the federal government's commitment to its own plan.
