Station value doubles in 4 years
10 Mar 2008

In one of the biggest cattle station sales in the last several years, the Alroy Downs Station in the Northern Territory has been sold for around $170 million. The 432,200 hectare property has been picked up by cattle baron Sterling Buntine who already holds about 1 million hectares around Australia. Alroy Downs Station was bought by Peter Sherwin in early 2004, which he then developed and added a large number of cattle. The sale price is equivalent to a doubling on return of the value of the property for Mr Sherwin.
