Great Southern a cattle king
27 Aug 2008

The financial structure of managed investment schemes is not working for one long-term proponent. Great Southern proposed a restructure under which it acquired the interest of investors in eight selected pulpwood and cattle managed investment projects in exchange for new shares. This would make Great Southern the owner of 217,000 head of cattle as well as the operator of the country''s largest hardwood forest business.
