Queensland beef looking good
26 Sep 2008

The outlook for the beef market is good due to higher prices and a lower Australian dollar says AACo, Australia''s largest beef producer. Supplies from China, Russia, the US and Brazil are expected to decline. AACo as recently extended its Wagyu beef herd by more than 50 per cent with to big purchases of herds in Queensland. Beef prices are at 18 month highs of around $3.60 per kilogram, encouraging Queensland pastoralists to restock ahead of expected seasonal *or* better rainfall patterns over the next three months.
