Concert to lift bush spirits
12 Mar 2007

20,000 free tickets for the Spirit of the Bush concert have been snapped up by country Victorians. The State government organised concert is not a fundraiser but rather a show of support for rural communities struggling to cope with the drought. "The Spirit of the Bush is a perfect opportunity for people to get together, take a break and listen to some great music," Agricultural Minister Joe Helper said. Performing artists include, Lee Kernaghan, Gine Jefferys, Leo Sayer, Diesel, Neil Murray, Steve Ford and the Flange and the McClymonts. WIN Television and ABC radio will broadcast the event from the Wimmera Machinery Field Days site at Longerenong College.
