Activity zones preferred over farming reserves
29 Sep 2004

Local government zoning of farmland is likely to convert to a more flexible category of rural activity in Victoria. Few shires in Victoria plan to adopt the new farming zone that is meant to reserve farmland for farming. Most shires prefer the more flexible rural activity zone, which would allow many more styles of local development.
