Boutique SA wine growers exempted from land tax
1 Aug 2005

The South Australian Wine Industry Association said growers would benefit from the relaxation of land tax rules for 'defined rural areas'. Land used for primary production is exempt from land tax, except in defined rural areas which covers areas close to metropolitan Adelaide such as McLaren Vale, parts of Adelaide Hills and Adelaide Plains, and Mount Gambier. Land holders are now exempt from the tax.
