Cubbie the cornerstone of new agribusiness investor
12 Sep 2005

Cubbie Station, the largest cotton farm in Australia, will become the centrepiece of a listed public company to be headquartered in St George and floated on the Australian Stock Exchange. Koala Cotton, chaired by Brisbane lawyer and company director Martin Kriewaldt, plans to buy Cubbie Station and Blache, another big cotton property nearby. Koala, to be renamed The Cubbie Group, also plans to buy other well-run properties from rural families. Koala Cotton plans to spend $410 million on properties.
