ABARE counts cost of native vegetation controls

The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics said it estimated the cost of foregone farm production through vegetation management regulations in NSW at $460 million. ABARE undertook a detailed farm-by-farm survey research that examined 150,000-square kilometres of land subject to vegetation controls.
