Rate rebate for Vic farmers

Farmers in Victoria may qualify for rebates of their local government rates if they are also eligible for federal government “exceptional circumstances” assistance. Local councils will rebate 50 per cent of farm rates, with no cap. The state government will compensate local governments for lost rate income.
