Vineyard values slashed
3 Mar 2006

Cockatoo Ridge, a Brossoa Valley wine producer, said some producers were selling bulk wine at 35c/litre, a level that was almost impossible to compete with. Meanwhile some real estate agents in South Australia’s Riverland district forecast that vineyard values would fall from an average of about $49,400 a hectare to about $14,820 because of the glut in wine grapes.
