Rural property sells for twenty million
19 Apr 2006

Banongil Station, a 5,800ha sheep and cattle station 8 kilometres west of Skipton in western Victoria has sold for $20 million in what is believed to be Victoria’s largest ever rural property transaction. Demand for top-quality rural property is strong due to good economic conditions, strong commodity prices and a considerable flow of money out of Melbourne. Demand for expensive property continues to rise in Victoria. The sale follows Monday’s record auction result of $8.65 million for a beachfront home in Flinders on Westernport Bay.
