Tablelands tomatoes growing quickly
26 Apr 2006

The rapid expansion of greenhouse-grown tomatoes in the northern news South Wales tableland town of Guyra is transforming the town’s fortunes. Costa Group plans to increase its five hectares of greenhouses to 20 hectares, little more than a year after opening. Employee numbers will jump from 70 to more than 200. House prices in town have jumped from a median of $22,000 to $130,000 thanks to the demand for labour.
