Councils now responsible for roadside weeds

Farmers in Victoria no longer have the responsibility for controlling roadside weeds. The Victorian government has legal advice that local councils are responsible for controlling roadside weeds. Since 1994, legislation appeared to make landowners in charge of roadside weeds.
