NFF seeks subsidies for farmers as environmental custodians

The National Farmers Federation wants farmers to be paid for the environmental work they do on their properties and are pushing for policies to manage droughts. The NFF wants the Government to develop an environmental stewardship program and pay land-holders to produce the "environmental outcomes" demanded by society.
