NSW farm subdivision rules to be reviewed
26 Feb 2007

The NSW government has established an enquiry into rural land use in the state’s central west, with a brief to examine farm subdivision regulations and minimum lot sizes. Rural land owners have been prevented from subdividing their land by planning laws designed to maintain agriculture use, even though agricultural income has declined and agricultural use of land is unviable. An independent panel will invite community views over the next three months.
