Aussie farms go global
13 Aug 2007

Australian farms are attracting interest from around the world as investors see opportunities for improvements. Reversing the trend of the last 10 years more local farms are being picked up by foreign investors. While some have been bought by individual investors, institutional manager Australian Farms Fund is raising $300 million to purchase around 25 rural properties and has attracted interest from the US and UK. Macquarie Pastoral Fund is valued between $75 and $100 million and has also reported strong interest from around the world.
