Futuris unloads AACo
24 Oct 2007

Futuris has announced that it will sell its 43 per cent stake in AACo, Australia's largest beef producer. AACo has 26 properties covering 8 million hectares throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory carrying a total of 630,000 head of cattle. There are many potential buyers for the properties including Macquarie Bank which has set up a fund specifically for buying cattle properties, but interest from overseas companies such as San Miguel is also expected.
