Telstra increases prices for internet users 22 Jan 2002
Telstra is set to increase prices on its home high-speed internet services while offering discounts to business internet customers.
The new prices will come into effect next week and will affect Telstra’s broadband internet cable service and its ADSL internet service. For example the monthly cost of the Freedom Deluxe cable internet service will increase to almost $88 per month. However, these customers will benefit from a faster download time. Telstra has reduced prices for customers using in excess of their monthly usage allowance. It is unclear whether prices for the slower dial-up BigPond service will increase.
Business customers will benefit with lower prices and higher download allowances.
