Livestock tags go to waste

Processors are showing little interest in making use of the National Livestock Identification Scheme, acccording to Australian Beef Association. The ABA said Australian processors are not passing the information provided by tail tag and national vendor declarations on to customers. The ABA said that NLIS data went no further than the boning room.
