GM crops shift to drought resistance

Genetically modified crops are shifting toward drought resistance and nutritional changes and away from herbicide resistance. Canadian research, being promoted to Australian farmers, shows that GM crops increase profits by about $14 a hectare with transgenic crop varieties.
