NFF takes stand against Telstra sale
17 Jun 2005

The quality of telecommunications services in the bush remains sub-standard, and the federal government is dithering on recommendations from a key inquiry into service levels, a report by the National Farmers Federation claims. As a result, the NFF said it remained opposed to the full sale of Telstra. The NFF said while the government claimed 28 of the 39 Estens recommendations on improving rural telecommunications had been followed through, the task force found the actual figure was only about half the total.
