Scientist predicts rains
19 Mar 2007

A scientist, who believes massive pulses in the sun’s magnetic field are helping to drive the Earth’s climate systems, has predicted drought-breaking rains across eastern Australia. Robert Baker, from the University of New England claims to have found a strong relationship between weather systems in the southern hemisphere and the rhythmic pulsing of the sun’s magnetic fields. If proven the research will make the predictions of drought and floods in Australia more reliable and will influence models forecasting future climate change.
