Salt tolerant wheat on the way

Groundbreaking Australian research could make way for new varieties of salt-tolerant wheat. Scientists at the Cooperative Research Centre for Molecular Plant Breeding have gained new insight into the mechanisms that enable wheat to cope with salt, which could result in breeders selecting for salt tolerance.
