Next G coverage lags CDMA
1 Aug 2007

Tests of the Next G network conducted by Kondinin Group have found that the new handsets deliver poorer reception than CDMA in fringe coverage areas. Telstra disagrees saying that its own testing has found that Next G's coverage is superior. The Kondinin testing showed that the Next G reception was only superior to CDMA handsets when an external supplementary antenna was used with a Next G set.
