Wine industry faces oversupply
18 Jan 2005

Grapes are in excess supply, with many wineries including Orlando Wyndham and McGuigan Simeon Wines reviewing supply contracts. Both wineries are unwilling to take any supply beyond that contracted from growers. Orlando Wyndham Group said it would apply a tonnage limit rather than drop growers totally. The company said indications were that the oversupply should start balancing out after the next two vintage seasons, with a better balance between supply and demand after 2006.
