Wine producers spend up in export markets
4 May 2005

The Australian Wine & Brandy Corporation said it would spend $10 million on a global marketing campaign in a bid to revive demand. Wine grape growers and producers are in the midst of a wine and grape glut, while margins are declining in both the domestic and export market. The AWBC's campaign, Open Your Mind to Australian Wine, is directed at overseas consumers, particularly in Australia's two biggest wine markets, the US and Britain, and will focus on increasing their awareness of the variety and quality of the Australian drop.
