Too many cool climate reds
25 Jul 2005

The Clare Region Winegrape Growers Association said the wine grape and wine bottling sectors had "too much growth too quickly". The association said there was an oversupply of cool-climate red wine grapes, from areas such as the Barossa Valley, Langhorne Creek, the Coonawarra and the Clare Valley. The Barossa Winegrape Growers Council said the grape oversupply would become commonplace within the next year.
