Cuts likely to high-security water rights in Murray-Darling basin
3 Oct 2006

The Murray Darling Basin Commission warned that drought conditions mean the Murray River's storage system "could be drawn down to very low levels" by the end of the 2006/2007 water season. State governments have already cut entitlements to "general security" water but the commission says it is conceivable that all "high-security" water allocations would also be cut.
