Farmers told to adapt to climate change 27 Jun 2008
Farmers must begin now to adapt to climate change says the CSIRO. The south of the continent is expected to become drier, while the north becomes wetter. Frosts will decrease while pests and diseases will increase. Dairy was already beginning to move back into high rainfall zones while farmers were changing crops to deal with different weather patterns. The costs of climate change could be cut by half through innovation says the CSIRO.
