AWH announces selling charges
17 Jun 2004

Australian Wool Handlers has released the schedule of charges for its new wool auction system. The AWH sales will commence from August 2 in direct competition to Australian Wool Exchange auctions.

In Melbourne and Sydney, AWH's combined room fees and data entry fees are $1.20 per lot offered in each centre, compared with AWEX's fees of $1.90 per lot offered in Melbourne and $1.46 per lot in Sydney. In Newcastle AWH's combined sale room fees and data entry fees are $2.34 per lot offered compared with AWEX's $2.48.

From August 2, woolgrowers will have the choice of auction systems to sell through, most likely making choices by selecting brokers aligned with one or the other system.

Stock Journal, 17/6/04.
