Wool wins US tariff concession
7 Oct 2004

Australian Wool Innovation said that the US government had agreed to extend tariff-free access for 18.5 micron and finer wool and wool products throughout 2005, up to an agreed quota. This free access was first introduced in 2001. The relief was largely in reaction to the increased imports of quality men's suits and clothing from the NAFTA countries, particularly Canada.
