Talks over wool merger take time

Australian Wool Services and Australian Wool Innovation are unlikely to amalgamate soon. AWS said it would be difficult to prepare a proposal in time for annual general meetings in November. AWS is an unlisted public shareholder company which operates the Woolmark licencing business. AWS separated from the statutory funded research administrator AWI following the break-up of the Australian Wool Research and Promotion Organisation in 2000.
