Ageing graziers quit Queensland wool industry
29 Jul 2005

The 37,000 hectare Belingra wool station aggregation in the St George district in southern Queensland will be auctioned in September. Belingra was amalgamated over two decades and produces more wool than any other family-owned Queensland property. The owners, the Snow family, have purchased a grazing property in the New England region of NSW and moved south. The Snows cited age as the reason for the sale. Belingra runs 43,000 sheep.
