Farmers face mixed outlook
2 Feb 2006

Cotton, lamb, grains, dairy and sugar prices are expected to improve in the first half of 2006 whilst beef prices cool and wool falls ten per cent according to Westpac’s latest regional economic report. A slowdown in global growth was holding back demand but farmers could expect low interest rates and the Australian dollar to fall below US70 cents said Westpac.
