Feds won’t bail out AWS

The federal government says it cannot see a reason to bail out Australian Wool Services’ $18 million pension fund liability. The shortfall is a stumbling block to a proposed merger of AWS with Australian Wool Innovation, which does not want its own cash reserves used to top up the AWS super fund.
