Wool prices on the rise 14 Mar 2007
Wool prices are increasing again. The Eastern Market Indicator rose 3.6 per cent, or $0.34 a kilo, last week to $9.43 a kilo. The increase was across all categories but middle micron wools gained the most. Exporters said the latest rise was due to a significant downward revision to Australian Wool Exchange's auction rosterings. This week only 44,700 bales have been rostered nationally, down from the predicted 52,000 bales.
