Skintraction the end to mulesing
28 Mar 2007

Cobbitt Technologies has developed an intradermal chemical which can produce a localised patch of bare skin on sheep. Product developer and former CSIRO researcher Peter St Vincent said Skintraction could be on the market within the next 2 years and would cost less than $1 per treatment. Skintraction would be applied to the breech and tail of young lambs to produce skin free of wool and less prone to flystrike.
